Kim Kirkman & Rhoonda Ohlson –  You Can Sing Yourself to Health and Wellbeing 

Kim originally trained as a violist (B.Music), then moved to voice (Grad.Dip.Voice) and now plays the harp. He was co-owner, music director and member of The Ten Tenors for six years taking them from a local Brisbane corporate act to international stardom. Kim then traveled the world working as a professional singer and conductor.

He eventually settled with his partner Beth in Mackay to lecture in voice and sound engineering at CQUniversity. Whilst there he completed his Masters and won several university awards and one national award. In 2012 Kim and his family had a tree-change and moved to the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Kim’s focus moved from performing to applying music more therapeutically. He uses the harp and his voice to help heal.

Kim and Beth are the proud custodians of Lift , Australia’s largest space dedicated to spiritual and energetic art. This is art that has been created with the intention of uplifting humanity. Lift is a boutique art gallery, sound discovery centre, concert venue, workshop space, therapy centre and also has a raw/organic café. The centre is home to several choirs, the Queensland Singing Bowl Ensemble, Music with ‘Art concert series and many, many workshops and events.

Workshop:  Kim will present a workshop on freeing your voice to allow healing in your life with Rhonda Ohlson .

Rhonda is a Feldenkrais Assistant Trainer, Bones For Life Trainer and a Body Psychotherapist and Voice Healer. Her passion and joy for the past 25 years has been in helping people to move and sing with more ease and grace.

Rhonda also offers classes at Lift.
